Something fun that I have been doing this week is collecting my little pregnancy/baby freebies! Here are the top 4 ones for us Irish mammies!
So the first is the eumom pack – we are all made aware of this at our first hospital visit. You can register by free texting ‘REGISTER’ to 50400 and they will send you the link to sign up online. Or just visit their website and sign up there: https://www.eumom.ie
Once you sign up, you simply print your voucher and bring it to your local SuperValu store. If you can’t print it, simply download it to your phone and show it to a Supervalu member of staff. If you still have the pack that you got at the hospital, you can just fill in the voucher at the back of the little pregnancy diary and hand it in to your local Supervalu.
The eumom free gift bag comes in a red drawstring bag. It contains a lot of mini samples – Sudocrem, Johnsons top-to-toe wash, Johnsons baby oil, one week of Pregnacare vitamins, a Persil sample, a sample of Pampers nappies (4), a pack of Johnsons wipes, a Petit Filous spoon, an Aquafresh toothpaste – 0-2yrs, a pack of Dettol antibacterial surface wipes and information leaflets including Pixifoto vouchers.
Next up is the Aldi Mamia Memories Box. First of all, can I just say this is such a cute and sturdy box- it even says to use it after baby is born for all the baby’s first memories and keepsakes!
To get this baby gift box, I signed up at this link through her.ie:
I never got any confirmation or anything, but within a week the box arrived delivered to my door!
I couldn’t believe when I opened it that it didn’t contain samples – everything was full size! It contains: 1 pack of newborn Mamia nappies, a pack of Mamia wipes, a pack of nappy sacks, a full bottle of Mamia baby wash, a bottle of Mamia baby shampoo, a bottle of sterilising fluid, a tub of petroleum jelly, a tub of nappy ointment and 2 vouchers. one of the vouchers is for €5 off the Mamia Baby Range at Aldi, the other is for another free pack of nappies!
Lidl are also doing a baby gift box at the minute. It is through the Maternity and Infant website, all you have to do is fill in the form at the following link and the voucher is sent to your email address.
It took a few days to receive the email. Then you can either save the voucher on your phone or print it off and show it in your nearest Lidl store. This was again in a beautifully presented box – it really felt like a gift! It contained a pack of Lidl’s Toujours newborn nappies, a packet of the Toujours wipes, W5 bathroom antibacterial wipes, dentalux kids toothpaste, hand lotion, a lip balm, body lotion, deodorant and some money off vouchers for Johnsons range. It was a lovely touch to add in some little items for the mums-to-be.. perhaps good for the hospital bag!
Finally, Healthwise Pharmacy Groups are also doing a baby and mother gift bag when you spend €10 in one of their stores. You simply print off the form from their website (link below), fill it out and present it at your nearest Healthwise Pharmacy.
The Healthwise gift bag comes in either pink or blue – however the gift is completely unisex. I was about to ask for a pink one when Kevin said to get the blue 🙈 . It’s out of the bag now though so it didn’t matter too much! To be honest, I really was overwhelmed with the amount of stuff that was packed into this free gift! It contained: a Nuk First Choice glass bottle, a Nuk teat, a packet of white Nuk dummies – 0-6m, A Nuk ice lolly set, a tub of Bodylogic aqueous cream, a Caldesene travel bag with nappy sacks and a sponge, a CaldeSpray for nappy rash, a trial of Centrum pregnancy vitamins, a Nappy Kit, a bottle of Babe Micellar Water, a cloth Teetha baby book and a Nurofen digital thermometer.
As a massive lover of the Nuk range I am delighted with this little gift! Especially the bottles and dummies! It really is a very generous and useful gift!
It is great to see so many local shops having free gifts like this for new mums or mums to be! I am just delighted with the little bits I’ve gathered up! Time to get them all in the bath box / baby changer awaiting Baby G!
Hope this is of benefit to some of you mummies-to-be or new mums!
Have you got any other mum / baby freebies recently? Be sure to let us know!
